Lampo, Electric Sport Car

Lampo in Italian can be translated as Lightning, where as lighning it self is a combination of electrical and fast. A prototype electric car is made with this name ‘Lampo’ .

Lampo is designed in sport car with two doors. The energy or power source comes from the two water-cooled Brusa electric motors in a single-speed gearbox. One gearbox to drive the front wheels, and the other one to drive the back wheels.

One engine will do the gruntwork and the other one will set up the energy recovery from braking. Each axle is plugged with a 3.3kW charger.

Each of the lithium-ion battery packs can manage up to 16kWh, that will result a total output of 200kW. The total range that can be reached will 125 miles. Lampo can go from 0-60mph in 5 seconds, and the reach the max speed up to 125mph.

`Karma S` Hybrid Sport Car

A  concept hybrid sports car from Fisker is shown in Detroit Auto Show 2009 . This concept hybrid sports car is called Karma S. Karma S hybrid performs a great looking car design. It appears as sport sedan with sporty curves, totally a grand tour-design body, with a two-door couple car and retractable hard car top.

The power source of Karma S is an electric motors that will drive the wheels, a pack of battery to store electricity power, and a gas engine to support more electricity in case in need. Each rear wheel has 201 horsepower electric motors, which enable the car to drive for fifty miles. It can even get into 250 more miles if a Ford-sourced turbocharged 2-liters direct injection EcoTec is on, which later on changed into a generator.

This car can go to 6 mph in 5.8 seconds, which considers fast for a hybrid. It can reach up to 125 mph, if both combination of power source (electric motors & gas engine) are activated.

Karma S from Fisker is launched with price $87,900. So far Fisker as manufacture has already taken 1,000 preorders.

This Way Bicycle with Solar Energy

ThisWay bicycle is designed by Torkel Dohmers. This concept bicycle is using solar cell to capture the energy, which later on will be used as the energy source. The energy then will be managed as the battery, for dynamo and for light.

The solar cell is placed in the top layer, and the material is made of Carbon Fibre. As concept bicycle, ThisWay bicycle also uses some other material, such as aluminum hydro form.

ThisWay bicycle has only 11-12 kg weight. Quiet light isn’t it ? :) . Still have no official announcement about when this bicycle will be released for public.
