iPad seem to have been painting the world with tablet fever. After Toshiba, Lenovo, Asus Magic Hinge, Archos, and Dell, now Asus is about to make its own tablet. Asus tablet will be named Asus Eee Tablet.

Asus Eee Tablet was first shown in Taipei IT Conference Computex 2010. Asus Eee Tablet is designed in a flat portable on the graphics tablet which more like the merging of an ebook reader and digital notepad (cnet.co.uk).

Asus Eee Tablet’s touchscreen has the capability of flipping a text page in only 0.1 seconds lag. We can make notes, sort tags, or adding some information on the ebooks right on the screen with a provided stylus, like the Sony Reader Touch Edition. The Asus Eee Tablet pad can sense 2,450dpi of pressure, so we can essentially sketch in black and white. We can also draw on pictures result from the tablet’s 2 MPx camera.

The Pad’s data storage is supported with a microSD card slot via Wi-Fi connection. The screen is reported to be an 8-inch, 1,024×768-pixel, backlight-free TFT-LCD screen displaying 64 shades of grey. Battery life is 10 hours. Engadget reports it will cost between $200 and $300 (£135-£200).

USB 3.0 seems to have been longing for the release. And last week’s rumors around who will be the first time lauching USB 3.0 board is asus, which was said to produce motherboard P6X58. Some said it’s not rumor, but some other said it’s just a rumor. Fujitsu is the one replacing Asus for the same headline. Fujitsu in this case will manufacture – or in the middle of process- of manufacturing SATA bridge chip 3.0.

USB 3.0 – Super Speed USB

A little description about this much-awaited-board, USB 3.0 will be named as a  Super Speed USB (USB 2.0 right now is called High Speed USB).

Compared to USB 2.0 which has transfer rate of 480Mbps, USB 3.0 is able to transfer data up to 5Gbps/second. 5Gbps can be illustrated as it takes only 2-3 minutes transferring 2 hours length video files.

So which one to launch USB 3.0 for the first time ? it is asus or fujitsu ?. I guess we just have to wait the launching for real.
