`Karma S` Hybrid Sport Car

A  concept hybrid sports car from Fisker is shown in Detroit Auto Show 2009 . This concept hybrid sports car is called Karma S. Karma S hybrid performs a great looking car design. It appears as sport sedan with sporty curves, totally a grand tour-design body, with a two-door couple car and retractable hard car top.

The power source of Karma S is an electric motors that will drive the wheels, a pack of battery to store electricity power, and a gas engine to support more electricity in case in need. Each rear wheel has 201 horsepower electric motors, which enable the car to drive for fifty miles. It can even get into 250 more miles if a Ford-sourced turbocharged 2-liters direct injection EcoTec is on, which later on changed into a generator.

This car can go to 6 mph in 5.8 seconds, which considers fast for a hybrid. It can reach up to 125 mph, if both combination of power source (electric motors & gas engine) are activated.

Karma S from Fisker is launched with price $87,900. So far Fisker as manufacture has already taken 1,000 preorders.
