A rumor which mentioned that Facebook will make a smartphone seems true, the device was given a pass code ‘Buffy’. In the All Things D, it was reported that Buffy is the result of collaboration up and the Taiwanese smartphone vendor, HTC. However, control of the project is still held up by the command of Chief Technology Officer Bret Taylor. Android operating system will be selected as the basic platform for Buffy. Well, because the device is specially cultivated by Facebook, this phone will automatically put forward the access to social networking than other phones.
It has not been mentioned what kind of special access will be offered up, and this HTC. But it seems, Buffy would have expected a deeper integerasi features with the Facebook service.
Facebook party itself still has not given its official statement about the appearance of Buffy. But from the comments that had ejected, the giant social networking site does not dismiss that the mobile industry into one of their next shot lands.
“Our strategy in the mobile business is actually simple. We think that every device will be better when he is more ‘social’. And we were trying to wade through the entire mobile industry,” said Facebook spokesman, quoted by All Things D.
“Many parties, such as operators, hardware vendors, makers of the OS, and application developers to bring social networking experience to more people around the world,” he continued.
Answering the features of BlackBerry Messenger (BBM), a mainstay of BlackBerry, Apple presents iMessage. iMessage is a cloud computing-based data services that functions the same as Blackberry’s BBM. Some analysts also assess iMessage technology is a serious threat to BlackBerry with its BBM. In fact, this warning could make the stock price by Research in Motion (RIM) as the manufacturer of the BlackBerry, declined in the United States.

Tavis McCourt of Morgan Keegan analyst firm stated that iMessage is a shot that directly led to BBM. In fact, BBM which has more than 40 million global users is one key to RIM’s success outside the United States. RIM relies on its sales growth in Latin America and Asia where they gained popularity thanks to the BBM. Well, iMessage could undermine the popularity of BBM is seen in this region which ultimately reduces the sales of the BlackBerry. “iMessage not be released if it does not have a competitive delivery time and a good performance,”said Tavis, as he believes that ultimately iMessage has the same good performance if compared with the BBM.

Symbian is an operating system intended specifically for smartphones and could be used by NTT DoCoMo, Sony Ericsson, and is now maintained by Nokia. The latest version of the Symbian, named Anna was officially presented in April 2011, this operating system has undergone an update on the browser side, the virtual keyboard when the phone is in vertical orientation, and a better scrolling in homescreen.

There are two devices that directly use the latest operating system ie the new Nokia E6 and Nokia X7 that will be available in mid-June. The smartphones which previously been using Symbian^3 like Nokia N8 , E7, C7 and C6-01, also will be able to upgrade to the operating system for Symbian Anna.
